Safeguarding adults from abuse
3-DAY FOUNDATIONAL WORKSHOP
Designed for professionals. In this foundational course, learn how to identify, plan, and respond. Teams of up to 20 people.

Up to 4-hour co-design session to shape the content for your group
All materials and preparation
Up to two facilitators
Three full days (six hours each day) of engaging training, including:
Recognising the signs of abuse, neglect, and coercion in various contexts
Safeguarding approaches for working with disabled adults
Understanding and applying supported decision-making and rights-based frameworks
Culturally grounded responses that uphold mana, respect autonomy, and promote safety
Interactive activities, group discussion, and scenario-based learning
Bonus practical lesson on creating a safety plan

1-DAY REFRESHER WORKSHOP
Designed for professional teams who have had previous safeguarding of adults training.

This 1-day refresher workshop includes:
Up to 2-hour co-design session (tailored to your needs)
All materials and preparation
Up to two facilitators
A full-day (6 hours) refresher session covering:
How to recognise and respond to abuse, neglect, and coercion
Practical updates on safeguarding in community and service settings, particularly for people with learning disabilities
Reviewing the principles of supported decision-making
Upholding the rights, mana, and safety of disabled adults
Case examples and real-life reflection to reconnect with best practice

POST-WORKSHOP SUPPORT PACKAGE
Packages designed for teams or individuals who have completed previous training.
1. Follow-Up Consultations ($450 + GST for three follow up sessions)

With on-demand email/message support
Access to facilitators via email for responsive support (within agreed timeframes, e.g. 2–3 business days)
For clarifying concepts, asking about real-life dilemmas, or guidance on adapting tools/resources
